THORNBURY warmed up for their cup final with a comfortable win in a friendly match against Stroud and District visitors Rodborough.

The home team started strongly and the impressive Jacob Harper opened the scoring after a mazy run and calm finish.

Thornbury doubled their lead after some good play down the left by Tom Constable and another good finish by Harper.

As the first half came to a close the home team failed to clear a ball on the edge of their area and the visitors pulled a goal back with a well taken shot from the edge of the box.

The home team made several half-time changes and they soon extended their lead further when substitute Louis Ogilvie scored.

A minute later it was four when his brother Henry, also a half-time sub, broke clear to score.

The home team were well in control and they wrapped up the win when Louis Ogilvie coolly finished to make it 5-1.
