GIANT CC Halo Films have their first national champion amongst their youth ranks.

Berkeley-based Pfeiffer Georgi, 13, rode a storming race to take the coveted title in the Under 14 Girls’ category in the National Youth Circuit Championships.

Racing over 12 laps of the hilly 2km circuit at Redbridge Cycle Centre, locally known as Hog Hill, the Year 8 Castle School pupil put in a big effort with five laps to go, splintering the 40-strong brunch.

Six of her competitors managed to catch up with her and then she launched another attack with two laps to go, producing a solo win.
