HALLEN progressed in the Les Phillips Cup on Tuesday night when they beat Western League First Division basement side Portishead Town 3-2 in the preliminary round.
Goals from Matt Tovey, Luke Mills and James Derosa ensured Hallen bounced back from their 1-0 defeat at Brislington in the Premier Division last weekend.
Almondsbury UWE have dropped two places to fifth in the First Division after being held to a 0-0 draw on Saturday at Warminster.
