LUKASZ Cabaj has left his role as manager of Tytherington Rocks by mutual consent.

The Pole was brought in by the club during the summer to replace Gary Powell, who left to join Longwell Green, and had to build a virtually whole new squad from scratch after a mass exodus of players.

Tytherington won the Hellenic League Division One West title for the second time in three years last season, but have won just three of their 12 league games so far this term, conceding 43 goals in the process, and have suffered early exits from the County Cup and Floodlit Cup.

Former Yate Town striker Justin Pritchard has taken over on a temporary basis and he will be assisted by reserve team manager Rich Lee.

Tytherington chairman Ted Travell said: "The club would like to express their thanks to Lukasz for his hard work in getting the team this season and we wish him well in the future.

“He’s never been a manager at this level before and we were always struggling for players.

“Things weren’t going well. He was a young man and was learning.

“We had three good seasons of success and then we had to start from scratch but we will be all right.”

Cabaj’s last game in charge was a 1-1 draw at home to Clanfield in the league on Saturday.
