ALMONDSBURY’S form took a sudden reversal on Saturday when both teams were beaten convincingly.
Andy Parkinson’s first team came up against Bristol Asians and were convincingly beaten by 102 runs.
The Asians batted first and were all out for 257. Sunwail scored 124.
In reply, Almondsbury were never in the contest as they had a steady fall of wickets throughout finishing 155 all out. Matt Wood 31, and Andy Parkinson 40, were the only ones to make a contribution.
Gary Goodwin’s seconds began well posting an imposing 242-8 against Winterbourne thirds.
But Winterbourne made light of the Almondsbury bowling by surpassing their target with 10 overs and eight wickets in hand.
