THORNBURY Town will have a re-match of their Gloucestershire County Cup final, which they won at the end of last season, when they take on Cheltenham Civil Service in the league on Saturday.
But this time, it will be a far different Cheltenham who were beaten in that clash. While Thornbury still have the nucleus of their side, reigning league champions Civil Service, who won most of their matches last season, are bottom of the table and have scored just three times while conceding 22 goals in their six matches.
And victory for the Thorns would give them a third victory out of six with a game in hand over some of the other sides above them.
Yate Town Reserves are also in action on Saturday, with a big bottom of the table clash at Kingswood on the agenda.
