THORNBURY A have slipped into third place in division one of the Stroud and District League despite defeating their hosts, Forest Green A, 7-3 last week.
The duo of Dave Reeves and Anthony Kent both scored maximums for Thornbury.
And in division three, Graham Eden scored a maximum for Thornbury C when they visited Woodchester D but could not prevent his side going down to a 6-4 lost to their hosts.
There is a chance for the youngsters to get a taste of the action soon as the Gloucestershire Schools Table Tennis Association Individual Championships get under way in a couple of months.
The Championships, the biggest tournament of its kind in the county, are being held on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Waterwells Sports Centre, Quedgeley, Gloucester.
But players must hurry up if they want to get in on the action when the tournament starts.
Closing date for entries via entry forms on the Stroud and District League website is December 11.
