THORNBURY Juniors excelled at Thornbury Golf Club's Annual two day championship held last the weekend.
Saturday was played in torrential rain but on Sunday the rain held off and on both days a large field of men and ladies competed for the 2016 title.
And 17 year old Jake Harvey took the title scoring a magnificent 71 and 72 gross, followed by Nick Ramwshaw with a 74 and 70 and Ryan Clark in third place with a consistent 74 on both days.
James Poole won best nett score with a 67 and 69 with Jake Harvey 2nd ith a 69 and 70 and Nick Ramsahw 3rd with a 72 and 68 Ladies Champion was Annie Griffin who managed a magnificent 74 and 83.
Second was Carol Weeks with an 83 and 85 and third Jill Sewley with an 87 and 86. . Best nett score was also Annie Griffin with a gross 67 and 77. with Mandy Pople 2nd with a 70 and 75 and Carol Weeks 3rd with a 72 and 74.
