ALMONDSBURY seconds continued on the downward trail on Saturday when they were well beaten by 103 runs at Bristol Asians. The Asians set a daunting total of 233-9 off their allotted overs with the middle to late order doing the damage.
Saeed Qadir (46) and Abdul Waqas (59) doing the damage. Wickets were claimed by Mark Williams 1-56, Krishna 1-34, Matt Smith 2-63 and Pradeep Raj 1-38, but the pride of bowling award went to Chris Slade with 8.5-1-16-4 whose nagging line and length always caused problems to the opposing batsmen.
In reply, Almondsbury were never in the hunt as they were dismissed for 130. Hamza Tuffail top scored with 37 as Almondsbury,s season continues to falter.
