IT may still be January but Thornbury Cricket Club are turning their thoughts to the new summer season already and are holding an ‘Open Forum’ at the clubhouse on Monday week (February 6).

The evening starts at 8pm and is aimed to be a get-together to discuss ideas for the coming season.

Meanwhile, preparations for the new campaign will get underway as early as the second week of next month.

The first and second team players meet up for their first winter nets session on Thursday February 9 and the seven sessions lined-up, all taking place between 8pm and 9.30pm, will continue until March 23.

The third and fourth teams will also be starting their winter nets during that week. They begin on Tuesday February 7 until Tuesday March 21 at 6.30pm to 8.30pm. These will also be over seven sessions.
