THORNBURY Town’s postponement at Bishop’s Cleeve Reserves has meant that Stonehouse Town have retaken the lead at the top of the Gloucestershire County League.

Stonehouse won 5-1 at home to Hardwicke and are now two points ahead of Thornbury, although, importantly, Thornbury have a game in hand on Stonehouse.

And it is so tight at the top that Thornbury are only a point ahead of third-placed Kingswood and two in front of Frampton United, with United having a game in hand on Town and two on Kingswood.

Frampton's game at Patchway Town was also called off.
