Thornbury Town 1 Little Stoke 2

THORNBURY Town had their promotion hopes dented when they went down 2-1 at home to Little Stoke.

There were no goals in the first half in which Little Stoke enjoyed a lot of the possession.

Thornbury’s Danny Haines had his shot tipped over the bar by keeper Matt Turner and home keeper Alex Lippiatt save well from Stokes Simon Knight.

The visitors got off the mark in the 57th minute from a quick break out of defence and Simon Knight driving the ball past Lippiatt.

Thornbury levelled five minutes later after Luke Franklin played a one–two with Tom Webb and hit his shot past Turner.

Kane Lansdown missed a good chance to put Stoke ahead before they snatched the three points in the 85th minute from a ball crossed into the box and Josh Hull bundled it into the Thornbury net.
