FORMER Thornbury Bronco Mako Vunipola has been picked to start for the British and Irish Lions in their must-win clash against in-form Super Rugby side Crusaders on Saturday.

The New Zealand team have won all 14 of their Super Rugby games this season, scoring 522 points in the process and earning seven bonus points.

It is a must-win after the Lions were beaten by Auckland Blues on Wednesday to add to their poor first match against the New Zealand Provincial Barbarians last Saturday.

Gloucester’s Ross Moriarty and ex-Gloucester captain Greig Laidlaw miss out on selection for the Crusaders clash.
