TOM Usherwood was back at Stonehouse parkrun on Saturday and finished in 20:52 mins in 13th place.

His best run on the same course is 19:32 mins set in December of last year.

Liam Symonds-Barry completed another Kingsway parkrun in Gloucester, crossing the line in 58th place in 23:55 mins.

Elizabeth Dix ran her second ever parkrun at Chipping Sodbury and was three minutes quicker than the first time.

Dix ran the 5k course in 26 mins exactly, in 112th place and 19th female.

And, after last week’s Cotswold Way Relay runs, club members enjoyed a barbecue.

Thornbury Running Club has over one hundred active members with an age range of 16 to seventy and over and is always open to new people joining, from beginners to those looking to race ultra-marathons.

The main club night is on Thursday, 7p.m. at Thornbury Leisure Centre. As well as Thursday, members can meet up on other days for coached sessions with qualified instructors and longer training runs in the local countryside.
