Almondsbury 2nds 150-4 beat Hanham 149 all out by six wickets

ALMONDSBURY seconds completed a comfortable six-wicket victory over Hanham on Saturday with a fine all round performance.

Hanham batted first and were restricted to 149.

Alan Callaghan 49 and Mark Stone 41 not out were the main run getters for the visitors.

The Almondsbury bowlers worked as an effective unit with Greg Stephens 7.2-1-24-2, Chris Slade 9-2-28-1, Jonny Trumble 1-34, and Matt Smith 9-2-24-2 playing their part. However Elliot Cooper stole the bowling honours with a fine late spell of 7-2-14-3 as only one run and three wickets came off his last four overs.

In reply, the home side rose to their challenge with Kulvinder Sappal bludgeoning 41 and Greg Stephens 34 reaching their target with nearly ten overs to spare.
