BRISTOL launched a strong second half fightback in their pre-season warm-up match with Bath at Clifton, but couldn’t prevent a 34-31 defeat.
Head coach Pat Lam’s men trailed by 27 points at the break, but three unanswered tries in the second half saw them hit back to within three points at the full-time whistle.
Tom Varndell, Aaron Chapman, Jordan Williams, Dan Thomas and debutant Luke Morahan all went over for Bristol.
