Stroud and District league division three
Thornbury Town Reserves 0 Ramblers 0
THORNBURY Town’s second string continued their unbeaten start to the League season with a goalless draw against Gloucester-based Ramblers.
Fielding a side containing six players from the under 18 side, they more than held there own against the more experienced visitors.
Both sides created chances but in the end a draw was probably a fair result.
Striker Dan Rees proved a constant threat to the visitors defence whilst Ryan Pearce controlled the middle of the park.
Despite Ramblers having a fair amount of pressure the Thorns defence, well marshalled by Jack Panes and Stuart Quinn restricted them to few chances, but keeper Rob Davies was in good form and pulled off a couple of good saves.
