THORNBURY'S Second XV travelled to Lockleaze to take on Dings Crusaders Thirds.
They returned with a fine 36-14 win from what is likely to be the last Thornbury team to play at the old Dings ground before the move to their new ground in December.
The Thirds lost 46-21 to Chipping Sodbury Second XV.
On Sunday, a depleted Thornbees side lost 49-0 at Newbury.
The ladies showed great spirit and determination in adversity and despite a scoreline that is not the most attractive to digest the Thornbees skills and organisation are improving game on game. What they haven’t had yet is luck.
