Stroud League Division 3
Thornbury Town Reserves 1 Chalford Reserves 1
THORNBURY Town's second string fought out a hard-earned point with Chalford Reserves at the Mundys Playing Fields.
The visitors enjoyed the majority of possession in the first half and not surprisingly took the lead after 28 minutes with a headed goal from a corner.
However Thorns grabbed an equaliser 10 minutes later when Asher Budd picked up a cross from the right and went past his marker before steering his shot into the corner of the net past keeper Sims.
With the game level at the break, a much improved performance from Town in the second half saw them come close to snatching a win, with Budd, Jim Brock and Tom Stewart all going close.
In the end, a draw was a fair reflection on the game and see the Reserves maintain their mid-table position.
