ALMONDSBURY-based Lebeq United gave themselves the slimmest of hopes of winning the Gloucestershire County League title this season with a 4-0 win over Gala Wilton on Wednesday night.
Lebeq's are nine points behind leaders Thornbury Town and have five matches left.
Thornbury also have a game in hand on the second-placed side. If Thornbury win on Saturday, when they play Hardwicke at the Mundy Playing Fields, with Lebeq not having a fixture, it will put them 13 points ahead with only 15 available.
Therefore, the only way that Lebeq can overhaul Thornbury is by winning all their remaining five games and hoping Town lose all of thiers.
