Almondsbury 168-9 lost to Bristol YMCA 172-6 by four wickets
ALMONDSBURY faltered in their chase for promotion on Saturday when they lost by four wickets to Bristol YMCA. Almondsbury batted first and were soon in trouble when they collapsed to 74-5.
However, a solid knock of 35 by Matt Wood together with the in form Aaron Jones who made 43, brought the innings to a respectable 168-9 in their allotted overs. Soutter 2-32, Spence 1-35, Maroof 1-35, Colley 2-19, Edwards 1-21 and Shafi 2-16 were the successful YMCA bowlers.
In reply, the visitors always seemed in control of the situation as some of the Almondsbury bowlers appeared wayward with their line and length allowing YMCA to pass the home sides total in the 38th over.
Romesh Tenuwera top scored for the visitors with 58.
