We're looking to get another run going against Swindon

SCUNTHORPE were a good team and beat us 2-1 on Friday.

They came at us, they were sharp going forward and showed why their players have just come down from the Championship – they put us under a lot of pressure.

It would have been nice to hold onto the point, another goal would have made things a bit different but they nicked a goal at the other end. It is a bit disappointing for all of us but we were beaten by a good team. It’s a bit of a shame because we’ve been on a good run and would have liked to keep it going, but we’ll have to get going again now.

Swindon should be a good game for us on Saturday. They are not doing brilliantly so we could take all three points. We’re always confident, we’re a good team and we can beat a lot of good teams so it’s a good game for us to get moving again.

We then face Hartlepool on Tuesday night and that should be another good game for us. It’s a long way to travel but last year we gave them a good game and played well, and we always do well up there. It would be really good to take another three points because when we get a run going we’re unstoppable sometimes.

I did a lot of running on Monday and I’m back training with the squad properly now. I’ll spend a couple of weeks with the reserves because they have arranged a couple of friendlies and then I’ll take it from there.
