I WAS beginning to hop on a single leg on Monday and it’s 14 weeks since the injury on Thursday (today) and I will be jogging for the first time. I’m feeling really strong and flexible now.
I watched the game against Nottingham Forest and it was a very frustrating one for us. They weren’t a very good side but they were very dangerous on the counter-attack. They had some good forwards and we didn’t have that killer edge. They had Nathan Tyson and Joe Garner up front, who were quite quick and caused us lots of problems but they only had a few shots all game and they scored two.
We missed a penalty in the last minute as well which could have given us a win against a side who will be near the bottom so we should have had all three points. Michael McIndoe is a very confident bloke and the misses won’t affect his performances. He has won us a lot of points in the past and everyone will forget about it. We did not quite click, that is what’s more frustrating than the miss.
It is fantastic that James Wilson made his debut against Southampton, we’ve been playing in the same team since we were 15. We’ve come through similar age groups, we’re both at the back, we’re both Welsh so we’ve had many years experience together. Hopefully one day we’ll both be in the same team because I’m sure he will break into the team soon as he is a very good player.
We’ve got a couple of tough teams to play who were both in the play-offs last year. Crystal Palace have got Nick Carle who played for us last year and he’s a very good player and they are a strong outfit especially going to play them away from home. Of course we can win but it will be difficult and very hard to get something out of it. We did fantastically in the play-offs when we won 2-1 there.
Watford aren’t doing so well this year but they’ve got a strong side and it’s not long since they’ve been in the Premiership. They have just lost their manager so they will be trying to get up the league.
