ALMONDSBURY UWE have appointed former Arsenal midfielder David Hiller as their new manager.
The 40-year-old replaces Danny Phillips, who is due to move to Dubai with his work.
Hillier made 142 appearances in eight seasons for the Gunners, and played 16 games as they won the First Division title in the 1990/91 season.
He joined Portsmouth for £250,000 in 1996 before Ian Holloway took him to Bristol Rovers in 1999.
Hillier, who works in Bristol as a fireman, recently managed Almondsbury’s Toolstation Division One rivals Oldland Abbotonians.
