Sally Conway selected for Judo European Championships in Russia

THORNBURY’S Sally Conway has been named in British Judo’s squad for the European Championships, which takes place from April 26–29 in Chelyabinsk, Russia.
It is the final Olympic ranking list points scoring event before London 2012.
Former Thornbury Judo Club member Conway, who won gold at the Samoa World Cup last November, is currently in pole position to represent Great Britain in the -70kg category at her home Olympics.
She faces competition for her place from and Korea World Cup bronze medallist Gemma Gibbons, who is also in the squad for the European Championships.
