FA CUP hero Tom Knighton has left Yate to join Southern League Premier Division side Chippenham Town.
Knighton is Yate's top scorer this season with eight goals, including one in each of the FA Cup ties against Blue Square Premier leaders Newport County that helped the club record the famous win of their history and set up a fourth qualifying round tie at League Two Cheltenham Town.
The striker is the third player to join Chippenham from Yate in the last four months, although Josh Dempsey has since returned to Lodge Road after leaving in the summer.
Knighton, 24, joined Yate from local rivals Mangotsfield United in January and played his last game for the club in Tuesday night's 2-1 defeat to Abingdon United when he missed a penalty.
He said on twitter: " Wanna wish @YateTownFC all the best for the rest of the season gutted to leave but the chance to step up a league was to good."
