GLOUCESTERSHIRE ended their NatWest T20 Blast campaign with a miserable defeat eight-wicket defeat against Glamorgan at the Swalec Stadium.
The County handed a debut to 19-year-old seamer Robbie Montgomery, who plays for Bridgwater in the West of England Premier League and was registered as a first team player after impressing on a trial period with the club.
However, he went for 50 runs in just three overs as Glamorgan cantered to a low target of 109 with eight overs to spare to secure their place in the quarter-finals, Jacques Rudolph (44*) and Murray Goodwin (41*) putting on an unbroken stand of 81.
Gloucestershire limped to 108-9 after being put into bat, Benny Howell top-scoring with 26 as they finished one place off bottom in the South Group.
