GLOUCESTERSHIRE finished third in the English Senior Men’s County Finals.
In the third place match at Hindhead in Surrey, Gloucestershire and Nottinghamshire shared the foursomes 1½-1½.
Despite starting some of the singles, play was abandoned due to a storm so it was agreed that all would be declared halves, which meant their overall match was tied.
However, as Gloucestershire had picked up nine-and-a-half game points during the week compared to Nottinghamshire's six they finished outright third.
Gloucestershire qualified for the Finals after winning the South West regional group and were beaten 6-3 by eventual winners Lancashire and 7-2 by last year’s champions Kent earlier in the week.
