YATE Town boss Rob Cousins has made a double swoop to sign Josh Beddis and Josh Ford.

Beddis is a young striker who previously played for Merthyr, while 24-year-old Ford can play in defence or midfield and was captain at Frome Town for two years before leaving last month, having also spent time at QPR.

Cousins is also hopeful of landing another target ahead of Yate’s FA Trophy tie against North Leigh this Saturday.

Joe Chandler ( knee) and Jake Jackson (ankle) are rated 50-50 for that game but Bradley Abraham (thigh) is considered to have a better chance of returning.
