IN DIVISION Two, Tim Chancellor was again in good form for Pessimists, winning all his singles as they drew 5-5 with visiting Thornbury B.

Gavin Rogers and Simon Lewis both bagged a brace for Thornbury and Sue Bailey completed their scoring.

Barry Morgan won a singles set for Pessimists before joining Chancellor to secure the draw with a doubles win.

Visiting Randwick A were too strong for their Thornbury C host,s leaving with all ten points as Robbie Hawkins, Ray Bassett and Dan Ind were all unbeaten. Phoenix C could not contain the runaway Frampton B when they entertained them, losing 8-2.

Rob Munson and Simon Philp were both unbeaten for the visitors and Oli Philp won another.

Pete Stuart and Bob Waters each won a point for the home side before Philp and Munson won the doubles.

Strong performances for Yate from Andy Cox and Will Berkley with maximums in singles and winning the doubles from 2-1 down, gave them a 7-3 win against visiting Phoenix A in Division One.

Simon Ward, Rich Cole and Laurence Manley each won a set for Phoenix.

Clive Ellison was on fine form for Woodchester B with a maximum against visiting Frampton A.

Bob Murray and Bill Dawe each scored a brace and won the doubles for the visitors.

Tony Clarkson and Nick Collins scored a point each to complete Woodchester’s score for a 5-5 draw.

Phoenix B are finding the going tough in the top flight, going down 10-0 at Thornbury A.

Len Vowles, Harry Gwillam and Julian Elsbury were all unbeaten for the home side.

Brian Cullis and Gerry Dupree each scored maximums and Alan Perratt a brace as Frampton C beat Forest Green C 9-1 in Division Three.

Keith Foord scored a consolation for the Green before Cullis and Dupree won the doubles.

Steve Partridge and Mick James were unbeaten in singles and doubles for Cam A as they defeated Phoenix D 7-3.

Krzysztof Kowalczuk, Andy Hammond and John Catterall each scored a point for the visitors.

Cam B edged a close match when they visited Phoenix E, winning 6-4.

Lucky Gallage was the best on the night, winning all his three for the home side, but the more consistent visitors of Alex Yeung (2), Harry Prescott (2) and Mick James (1) gave them the result.

Connor Ward won another for the home team before Prescott and James sealed the win in the doubles.

In Division Four, Frampton D had Glan Watkins to thank for a maximum as his side entertained Phoenix I.

Rob Arthur (2), Fadi Dahdouh (1) and Chris Hampton (2) scored for the visitors.

Dave Hayward scored another point for the home side and combined with Watkins to win the doubles and seal the draw.

Phoenix G shared the spoils in a long drawn out match against visiting Cam C.

Nigel Meredith was on good form for Cam with a maximum and was backed up by Bev Browning and Ellie Prescott with a point each.

Louise Rees scored a brace and there was a point apiece for Meg Willsher and Les Hanley, whose team fought back from 4-0 down.

Willsher and Rees won the doubles and secured the draw in a match which had seven sets going to five, keeping most up beyond their bed times.
