FORMER New Zealand international Hamish Marshall and ex-Gloucestershire seam bowler Steve Kirby made an appearance at Rockhampton's senior awards night at Thornbury Golf Centre.
The pair, who played together at Gloucestershire, took part in a question and answer session and Kirby’s numerous insights into county cricket, with particular emphasis to the banter, caused great amusement.
Rockhampton were celebrating the highest league position in the club’s history after they finished second in the WEPL Glos/Wilts League.
For their outstanding efforts the Young Clubman and Clubman of the Year awards went to Chris Perry and Richard Cartlidge respectively.
The top batsman and Players' Player was Matt Tyler with Will Cartildge taking the bowling award having finished the season as the leading bowler in the Glos/Wilts league.
