CHIPPING Sodbury have some to work to do if they are to finish in the top four of the West of England Premier League's Gloucester division after a disappointing 60-run home reverse against Stroud.
Will Golding (88) top scored as Stroud rallied from 11-2, losing both openers to Jon Toghill, reaching 225-7 as Jarrod Campling grabbed three wickets and there was a return of 1-27 from nine by Jaryd Trenoweth.
The highlight of Sodbury’s reply was 50 from Dan Wright, leaving the Ridings outfit in sixth place with a trip to lowly Bourton Vale on Saturday and a home clash with Lydney (fourth) wrapping up their campaign.
Sodbury seconds were rumbled for 107 at home to Chippenham in the Glos/Wilts division ahead of sliding to a seven-wicket defeat.
It was a tough day too for Sodbury thirds who were bowled out for 149 by Stoke Gifford ahead of going down to a three-wicket defeat.
But Sodbury fourths chased down a target of 192 to overcome Bedminster by four wickets in Division Nine.
Sodbury fifths, who were without a league fixture, took on Bohemian thirds in a friendly at Frenchay with a young side battling well before succumbing by 61 runs.
