AFC Totton 2 Yate Town 1

JAKE JACKSON scored a goal six minutes from time but it was not enough for Yate Town to avoid defeat in the Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West against Totton.

Yate had fought well to go into half-time goal-less but conceded a goal after 47 minutes and, while they tried to get back on terms, the Bluebells fell further behind when Totton went 2-0 on 72 minutes.

Yate pushed forward to try and scramble back into the game and Kane Ingram went down the left and squared the ball to Jackson, the striker bashed the ball into the Totton net.

They tried desperately to get back on terms and earn a point but it was not to be as opened the month with defeat after their bank holiday home draw with Mangotsfield United.
