YATE Town have sent their best wishes for a speedy recovery to young player Dane Shine.
The teenager was playing for the Yate Town Reserves side in their Gloucestershire County League clash with Ellwood last Saturday when he suffered a serious injury.
The match had to be abandoned because of the incident on 25 minutes with Yate winning 1-0. Shine suffered a broken leg.
Bluebells director Lawrence Wortman said: “Everyone at the club would like to extend our best wishes to Dane on his recovery from this injury and hope to see him back on the pitch as soon as possible.”
As the match was just 25 minutes old, it is expected to need to be played again but, as yet, no date has been fixed for the re-arrangement.
