Bridgwater 0 Yate Town 2
TOM Warren was sent off for Yate in their Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West league but the Bluebells came out on top.
It was the second successive victory for Yate after last week’s first home league victory of the season and sets them well for Tuesday’s home game with Tiverton Town.
Yate went in front after only five minutes when Jake Cox smashed a volley into the Bridgwater net after the goalkeeper failed to clear properly.
But when Warren was shown a red card on 20 minutes, Yate needed a big performance to get anything out the match.
And they did just that as a battling display saw them keep a clean sheet at one end and, at the other, Jake Jackson hammered home a second on 69 minutes to ensure the three points went home to Lodge Road and Craig Laird’s side kept up the momentum from the win last Saturday.
