THORNBURY Golf Club ladies’ section charity competitions were held on Sunday and Monday last week in aid of the Great Western Air Ambulance.
As well as a raffle, the ladies donated their entry fee to the charity and also paid fines for going in any of the hazards on the course, such as bunkers, lakes and ditches.
A presentation from a member of the fund- raising team gave the ladies an insight into the charity and the work of the air ambulance
A total of £307.50 was raised altogether.
