YATE Town ended a big week with defeat in the Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West at Marlow on Saturday.
The writing was on the wall early on when Marlow scored two goals within nine minutes of kick-off and Yate never recovered.
The defeat follows a long week of football for Craig Laird’s side after a frustrating although successful afternoon last week against Bashley in which they won 2-0 followed by a long Wednesday night when they drew 3-3 at Slimbridge in the Red Insure Cup and went through 4-1 on penalties.
