YATE-based karting driver Dan Healey extended his lead in the Club 100 Lightweight Championship to 16 points after another impressive round at Whilton Mill.
Healey started on pole position in the Pre-A final and won by over three seconds.
His fastest lap from this heat meant he started on pole for the main Trophy Final and kept his lead although the gap to the second placed driver was much closer across the line, finishing a mere 0.284 in front.
Healey has won the last three race meetings gaining maximum points in each round which has made him one of only two people that could really take home the title in November.
With only two meetings and four races remaining, Healey is edging closer to winning the title in only his second year at competitive racing.
The next round is being held at Rye House, the home of Formula One star Lewis Hamilton, on Sunday.
