YATE’S British Superbike rider Luke Hedger has signed for Gearlink Kawasaki in the British Supersport series for a third consecutive year.

Hedger did not have the best of luck at the start of 2015, failing to get funds for the first three rounds setting him on the back foot for any kind of championship podium finish. He then rejoined the Gearlink team mid way through the season. And, with high spirits and ruthless determination, he set his sights on the highest prize for every race. It was paying off as he gained valuable points and even a couple of podium finishes giving him an overall top 10 finishi in eighth place with 168 points.

The 20-year-old has confirmed that he has signed with Gearlink for the 2016 British Supersport season. The team principal, Michael de Bidaph, is said to be delighted with the new line-up for the year as Mason Law also joins Luke Hedger, both riding Kawasaki ZX-6Rs.

Hedger said: “I am delighted to be back with Gearlink Kawasaki for another year. The relationship is stronger than ever, enabling us to progress in the way in which we would like.

“I have recently had an operation on my arm due to server arm pump, which in previous years has become and issue for me towards the end of races. Since having the operation I have been out riding and am feeling the fittest form, so I can’t wait for the new season to begin.”
