Chipping Sodbury U9s vs Clifton

CHIPPING Sodbury controlled the game throughout with some strong running and great support play for the first try, which was well worked.

Riley Gustafson ran through the first line of defence and Louie Witter picked up the pass, broke the gain line then passed to Gustafson, who crashed. The second try came from great support play.

George Lockett broke the gain line then off loaded the ball to Tyler Brookes who then outpaced the defence to go over in the corner.

Clifton then scored a well-worked try, but back came Sodbury.

After great pressure in defence on Clifton’s attacks from Louie Witter and Franklin Griffee, who forced them back, the pressure soon become too much and the ball was soon spilt.

Freddie Nutt was first to react, picking up the ball and off loading to Sam Timbrell, who broke using his pace to power through for another great try.

Again Clifton tried to break the gain line, this time William Finch was not budging. Tatiana Gillard started to make some jinking runs using her pace to break the gain line, which led to the fourth try.

After starting the move Gillard off loaded to Leo Rennick, who was having his best game this season. He used his power to make ground before popping a pass to Archie Caldecott.

Caldecott cut inside outpacing the defence to score a well-worked try Clifton scored another try before Franklin Griffee went over to top his man-of-the-match display with a well-deserved try.
