YATE Town went down to defeat for the first time in 2016 as North Leigh overcame an early Bluebells goal to score victory at Lodge Road.
Lewis Powell put Yate in front inside three minutes when a ball over the top of the North Leigh defence found him in space.
Powell slammed the ball into the bottom corner of the visiting net which gave Yate the perfect start.
However, stunned by that early goal, North Leigh worked their way back into the game and equalised on 25 minutes before striking twice more after the break as the Bluebells’ game plan fell away.
