Yate Ladies 2nds v Wotton-under-Edge Ladies 1sts
YATE Ladies seconds played Wotton-under-Edge firsts in a friendly to fill the gap in the leagues for half term.
And, despite the friendly nature of the fixture, both teams put in worthy performances.
Wotton scored first and, despite many attempts from Yate, the score remained 1-0 at half time.
Yate started the second half with a new vigour and scored a well-worked team goal, put in by forward Sammie Peters, to bring the score level.
Yate were close to sneaking a win as the second half progressed but by the final whistle the score remained unchanged and the match finished 1-1.
Yate can be pleased with a draw against a team in the division above and the continuation of their unbeaten run.
Yate player of the match was Ruth Belcher.
