YATE Town's veteran striker Darren Edwards has been appointed as the interim player-manager at Lodge Road following the resignation of manager Craig Laird on Tuesday.
Assistant manager Rob Boyd also left the club with Laird.
A statement from the Bluebells said: "Yate Town Football Club wish to advise that Darren Edwards has been appointed interim player-manager until the end of the season.
"Darren's first game in charge will be this weekend's away game against Taunton Town.
"The club would like to wish Darren every success in his new role."
