YATE Town will begin their new era under interim player-manager Darren Edwards on Saturday with an Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West clash at Taunton Town.
Edwards has taken over from manager Craig Laird who, along with assistant manager Rob Boyd, resigned from the club on Tuesday.
And Yate will need to be on their guard in Somerset. They beat basement side Bashley 2-1 away last Saturday but Taunton produced the result of the season on Tuesday.
In a bizarre clash, the fifth-placed side thumped league leaders Banbury United 7-1, inflicting only the third defeat of the season on them.
