JAMIE Laird could find himself playing at Wembley next month after turning out for Yate Town in the Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West this season.
Hereford FC will play the FA Vase Final at England’s football home on Sunday May 22 when they take on Northern League Division One side Morpeth.
Laird, who left Yate Town a fortnight in the wake of his father Craig’s resignation from Lodge Road as manager, has been snapped up by Hereford, who are in their debut season of the Midland Football League Premier after the demise of former club Hereford United.
Manager Peter Beadle led the Bulls to Wembley last week with a 3-1 aggregate FA Vase semi-final victory over Salisbury.
Now Laird, who played thirty time for the Bluebells this season, is being lined-up to make his debut in the league against Loughborough at Edgar Street, with the Bulls laying second in the division at the moment.
