Gloucestershire County League
Thornbury Town 1 Bishops Cleeve Reserves 2
THORNBURY Town were in second place at the start of the day but they slipped to third after going down to defeat at home to Bishops Cleeve Reserves in the Gloucestershire County League.
Cleeve went ahead on 25 minutes when Paul Ireland squeezed the ball home. A 25 yard thunderbolt from Marcus Wrmwell on 32 minutes got Thornbury back on level terms.
Although the home side had plenty of the play, some excellent saves from the visitors keeper kept the home side at bay.
Then in the 80th minute the unexpected happened when Cleeves Ben Maguire netted the winner.
