Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West
Yate Town 1 Bideford 2
YATE Town’s run of success came to an end on Saturday as they went down by the odd goal in three to Bideford at the Jelf Stadium.
And both sides ended with ten men on the pitch with a couple of red cards shown by the referee.
Bideford were reduced to ten men early in the match when a player was dismissed for a horrendous tackle.
Yate took advantage when Josh Morgan-Williams tapped the ball into the back of the Bideford net to give his team a 1-0 half-time lead.
But just before the hour, Bluebells keeper Nathan John was beaten by Bideford’s William Tucker to level matters.
And two minutes later, on 61 minutes, Chris McGrath gave Bideford the lead.
Yate then went down to ten men themselves when Morgan-Williams was sent off and will have to wait and see if his automatic suspension will come in before the trip to Bishops Cleeve on Saturday.
