YATE Hockey Club ladies third team narrowly missed out on their away game against Old Bristolians thirds.
The Yate side played well and, despite having no goalkeeper, due to injuries in the club, managed to be the first team to put a goal in the back of the Old Bristolians net.
Unfortunately before half time Old Bs were awarded a flick and although Emma Harris bravely stepped up to try and defend the flick, Old Bs managed to put the ball over the line in order to equalise.
The second half saw another goal from Old B's roll over the line before Yate were able to score once again, earning Clare Kane her second goal of the game.
There were chances from both sides and although Yate managed to hold posession well, Old B's were awarded a second flick just minutes before the final whistle, seeing them clinch a 3-2 win over the Yate side.
