YATE Town were defeat yesterday afternoon at The Webbswood Stadium, in a 3-1 defeat against Swindon Supermarine. Kyle Thomas bagged Yate's goal in what turned out to only be a consolation goal.

Yate started well in the first half and were much the better side in the opening exchanges, and were lucky not to be in front, with Jack Ball and Luke Bryan causing problems.

Despite the strong start, Marine scored on the 14th minute. Shephard firing home from the edge of the area.

The game was very even from then on and the Yate went into the break only 1 down.

The hosts came out strong and dominated the proceedings in the second half and with just under 10 minutes played Parsons found the back of the net on 53 minutes to extend Marine's lead.

It only got worse on 66 minutes, Parsons brother Joshua made it 3-0.

The consolation goal for Yate came on the 74th minute, Kyle Thomas with a delightful curling effort finding the top corner.
