CHIPPING Sodbury suffered a second disappointment in a matter of days as they crashed out of the Bristol Combination Vase at the semi=final state on Wednesday night.
Sodbury were at home to Winscombe but did not have the bitter heartache of losing in the last seconds, as they did in the league against St Mary's Old Boys last Saturday.
This time, Winscombe were 17-3 up, with fly-half Dan Bradley getting Sodbury's solitary penalty, before they came back into the game.
Bradley and replacement Lewis Beer scored tries, with the stand-off kicking a conversion, but it was not enough as Winscombe won 17-15.
